CatBox — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
CatBox is a game by Pet Shark Productions Inc. This page explains what information leaves your device when you play it.
What we collect
Nothing ourselves. CatBox has no accounts, no advertising and no servers of ours, and we run no analytics. It does not track you across apps or websites. One software library in the game reports purchases to its maker; see Purchases below.
What stays on your device
Your cats, your progress and your settings are saved in files on your device only. Deleting the app deletes them. We never see them. If your device backs itself up (for example to iCloud), the backup may include these files, under Apple’s terms.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details; the game only learns which item was bought, from Apple, on your device.
CatBox handles purchases with Unity In-App Purchasing, a software library from Unity Technologies. That library reports each purchase attempt and its result to Unity: the item, its price and currency, the App Store transaction number and receipt, and technical details of your device (model, iOS version, language and region settings, storage size, and the identifier Apple gives each app maker for your device). It does not include your name, email address, Apple Account or payment details. Unity handles this information under its own privacy policy.
Photo Booth
When you take a picture in the Photo Booth, the picture of your cat is saved to your Photos library, with your permission. It is not sent anywhere. CatBox does not look at the other pictures in your library.
Notifications
If you allow them, reminders (for example, “Your kitties are hungry!”) are scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to us.
Children
CatBox is not directed at children under 13, and we collect no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
